There are a number of free public events happening on Friday and Saturday at this year's San Diego Comic-Con that Stargate fans are invited to attend. Events inside the Convention Center require a valid Comic-Con badge. These are being hosted by SaveStargate.com as part of the campaign to save the recently cancelled Stargate TV show from Martin Gero.
Friday, July 24
11am-1pm -- Flyover banner -- Look up in the sky over the Convention Center to watch the #SaveStargate flyover. The Convention Center is located at 111 W. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101. If you do not already have your parking for the convention booked, it is recommended that you park further out and take the trolley or use your favorite ride app to secure transportation. Many of the downtown parking lots are turned into outdoor activations for the duration of the convention. So, there will be plenty of fun things to do and see even if you don't have tickets to the convention.
6/7pm-9pm -- Happy Hour at the Bay City Brewing Co. East Village Tasting Room, 627 Eighth Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101 (see photo below). Meet up with fellow fans and celebrate your love of Stargate.
FYI: Bay City Brewing has two locations in San Diego, so be sure to go to the East Village address which is approximately a 15 minute walk from the Convention Center. The brewery is on Eighth Avenue between Market Street and G Street. View directions from the Convention Center on Google Maps. Please be aware that many streets in the downtown area are closed to vehicles during the convention! Portions of the route shown may only be accessible on foot.
Saturday, July 25
7am-8am -- #SaveStargate.com event Details on this event are forthcoming and will be published on SaveStargate.com. The event is expected to include a live steamed from San Diego Comic Con. I will update this post as soon as I know more.

10am-6pm -- Play the Stargate Tabletop RPG Where: Room 16AB on the Convention Center's Mezzanine level. When: Saturday only. Game times: 10am-Noon, 1-3pm, and 4-6pm. Please arrive early to choose your character. Maps of the interior of the Convention Center in .pdf form can be found here.
The exact table number will be announced closer to the convention. I will be running three D&D-style adventures that I wrote for the Stargate: SG-1 Roleplaying Game, published in 2021, including at lease one previously unpublished game module. Everything required to play will be provided. A limited number of players can participate in each session. Sign up will be done on a first come basis on Saturday at our table in Room 16AB (Mezzanine level).
